Using a pressure washer is probably the fastest way to remove paint from your external walls… and off any surface in general. A proper high pressure water blaster will prepare your surface for painting and make sure all the grime, oil, moss and mould are eliminated, therefore allowing the new paint to adhere to the surface effectively.

Please note that pressure washing is only effective for loose paint, and may also take off some of the surrounding bonded paint. Give us a call if you aren’t sure what the best way to go about your job is.

NOTE: High pressure power washing equipment in the hands of an inexperienced operator can actually do damage to your cladding, so employing a professional paint removal company using water blasting could be a smart move. At high pressures, the water jet can etch into wood!

In some cases, it’s best to do a soft wash and scrub to get the loose paint off. For wooden type surfaces, you need to wait until the surface has dried out enough before painting, as some water may have soaked into the timber.
